Why Media is seeking a creative, flexible and passionate videographer and video editor to join their friendly and ambitious team in Hertford. Why Media has been working with a number of profile companies since 2010 and in recent years, has been offering high-quality videography and video production as part of our core services. The successful candidate will have previous videography and video editing experience and will be used to working on their own and as part of a team.

We offer a wide spectrum of video content for both B2B and B2C clients. These include, but are not limited to, presented consumer-focused videos, showhome tours, drone footage, showreels, interviews and corporate videos.

Flexibility is imperative for this role and although you will be completing all video editing from our office in Hertford, you will spend a lot of time travelling to our clients and their selected filming locations. These vary but are generally in London, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Surrey.

All of the video content we create is used across a variety of platforms and is often embedded into our bespoke websites, as well as being uploaded to YouTube and other social channels.

There is no restriction to the level of experience you need to apply, however, at least one year experience in filming and editing video content would be preferable and would ensure you have a clear understanding of the requirements to develop high-quality video.

 

This role will initially be available on a part-time basis, however, for the right candidate who is proactive and passionate about supporting the company’s growth, full time will certainly be an option. Prior to each filming day, you will be required to gather a clear understanding of the clients' needs, add ideas to enhance the video. You will also be required to scope out storyboards for client approval before each project.

This role will encompass the following:

 

  • Filming footage across the UK

  • Editing

  • Creating 4K high definition videos

  • Keeping up to date with videography trends and technology

  • Adding ideas to the storyboard and using initiative during filming

  • Ensuring all content is delivered to the very highest of standard

  • Working in partnership with the Account Manager to deliver the project on time

  • Photography

  • Be a highly skilled and experienced in Premiere or Final Cut Pro X, After Effects is advantageous but not essential.
