Collaboration with Bovis Homes to Deliver Website for Stanton Cross Wellingborough

   NEWS / 25 Jan 2019

January saw the launch of Why Media’s first website of 2019 for Stanton Cross, Wellingborough in collaboration with national house builder Bovis Homes.

Located in the Northamptonshire town of Wellingborough, Stanton Cross is a new development owned by national house builder Bovis Homes. Once complete, Stanton Cross will comprise of 3,500 new homes (up to 20% affordable), a new retail offer, leisure and community facilities, 143-acre country park, two primary schools, one secondary school, GP surgery, a collection of mixed-use units and 3,000 new jobs for the community. In addition, Wellingborough train station which sits on the outskirts of the development will see extensive enhancements and 1,000 new car parking spaces.

Following the tender process in the second quarter of 2018, Why Media was appointed by Communications Business Partner at Bovis Homes, Sean Ranson to design and develop a new, community-focused website which gave potential house buyers and businesses a clear insight into what Stanton Cross has to offer.

Working with the branding and brochure which had already been developed, our team got to work with the design of the new website, which we built using unique code (no templates). The focus of the design was to ensure it was easy to navigate, interactive and usable on all Internet-enabled devices from Smartphones to Smart TVs.

Carl Piper, Website Developer at Why Media comments: “The main focus of this website was to give an interactive approach to seeing the plans for Stanton Cross and, to give visitors of the website an easy way to segment the development through an interactive map. As the development is still in its early stages it was imperative to ensure the site could be easily updated using an open-source content management system. It was also important that the site benefited from strong organic SEO. Overall, I am very happy with the new site and feel the integration of video really helps bring the development to life.”

Why Media has been working with a number of house builders and construction companies since 2010 to design and develop an array of marketing materials. From brand identities and websites to brochures, social media strategies and targeted advertising.
