Why Media’s Marketing Team Deliver Successful Charity Event Raising Over £700.

Why Media’s UK Marketing Team is delighted to announce that their recent charity fundraising event has raised over £700 for two fantastic charities. 

On the 25th of September, Why Media hosted Walton Charity Day on behalf of their client, The Heart Shopping Centre, in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. The event, which was part of a nationwide One Great Day initiative sponsored by the agency’s client, Savills, saw Why Media tasked with identifying, organising and hosting a fundraising event within the Centre.

Claire White, Agency Partner at Why Media, commented: “This was the third One Great Day event that we had delivered for The Heart Shopping Centre, and I am delighted to announce that it was our third successful one too. During the event scoping, we knew that we needed to deliver an action-packed event that attracted families to the Centre and activities that families would be happy to make a donation to take part in. Working with trusted suppliers and the local BID, we were able to host a fantastic event that saw strong footfall despite a last-minute date change following the sad passing of Her Majesty The Queen; In total, we raised just over £700, which will be evenly split between Great Ormond Street Children’s Charity and Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity. 

Although the amount was lower than the £1,800 raised in 2021, we are incredibly grateful for everyone who was able to make a donation on the day, as we are painfully aware that the cost of living crisis is having a huge impact on every household.”
