Renovation work is approaching completion on the first of two new terraces at La Marina Shopping Centre in Finestrat, Alicante, with the adjacent premises soon to be handed over.
The phased project creates new leisure units on a 3,400m2 roof terrace as well as a 3,100m2 F&B and entertainment terrace, the latter of which is now completing. The transformed terrace spaces will be followed by the renovation of the centre’s façades, with work on those expected to begin soon.
Terrace renovation work: concept and work-in-progress
Chapman Taylor, working with Resolute Asset Management and Why Media were appointed to comprehensively remodel La Marina Shopping Centre for its 20th anniversary year.
The area's largest shopping centre, La Marina requires modernisation to equip it for a rapidly changing retail and leisure marketplace. The redesign creates a new kind of retail and leisure experience for people of all ages, opening up the centre’s terraces to create a relaxing leisure space with beautiful views to the Mediterranean Sea.

The rejuvenated shopping centre include a mix of leisure, restaurants, cafés, bars, entertainment and a curated market space for seasonal local produce, delivering a family day-out destination for the residents of Alicante and beyond.
Why Media, the centre’s Marketing and Communication Agency, has rebranded the centre and is overseeing internal modernisation, including the provision of free high-powered WiFi and interactive digital store directories.
