October 2019. Why Media was commissioned by Epsom BID to raise the profile of the town by working with them on different aspects of the project, such as the Branding for Epsom, as part of the BID’s role. Following a consultation period, Why Media created ‘ Go Epsom’, a brand new Go Epsom identity, and developed an advertising campaign around it. This was followed up by the Go Epsom Website, as part of the enhancement process for Epsom in Surrey.
The aim of this venture was to engage with businesses and visitors alike, with a desire to improve the allure of the town so that people have a reason to visit Epsom time and again.
The launch of this campaign provided a great opportunity to elevate the position of Epsom, and therefore highlight that the town is a welcoming place, providing the perfect combination of history & heritage with a thriving business community. Those that live and work in the town know already that Epsom is a beautiful urban market town, being just a stone’s throw from London and Heathrow airport. It has been regularly voted as one of the best places to live in the UK, and has the advantage of offering something for everyone.
Well known for the Epsom Downs Racecourse, the Town has secured BID status. In turn, this provided Why Media with the opportunity to support the marketing aspect of this historic Georgian town. Rowen Squibb, Director at Why Media, has expressed the aims of the project by saying:
