On Friday 12th February 2016, team members of the Why Media London and Peterborough offices were honoured to join the Mayor of Peterborough, Councellor John Peach as he held a 1940’s themed dinner for the Mayor’s Charities.

This sell out event of over 130 guests was held in the prestigious Peterborough Town Hall on Long Causeway, in the City Centre and was attended by key pillars of the local community, as well as a number of Mayor’s and council officials from neighbouring towns including Northampton.

The event, which was in the theme of 1940’s was put together to help raise money for the Mayor’s selected charities, which this year are Combined Cadet Force, Age UK Peterborough, Hope into Action and Peterborough Scouts and Girl Guiding West Cambridgeshire County.

Claire White, Account Director at Why Media commented on the event; ‘I was delighted to be able to attend this fun and well organised event in Peterborough, and do our part to support the Mayor’s well chosen charities for Peterborough. The event had lots of opportunities to take part in fundraising, including a raffle, quiz and games. Those who attended were also greeted by a local Peterborough Choir who really stood out in this impressive building.”
