Why Media is seeking a passionate, driven and career-minded Marketing Manager to join their UK team based in Hertford, Hertfordshire. 

The role is ideal for an individual who has previous marketing experience working either client side or within an agency but is now looking for a new challenge within a fast growing agency that benefits from a London working mentality but without the commute! 

Founded in 2010, Why Media has been delivering high quality, bespoke Design, Marketing, PR and Events for clients within professional services, commercial and residential property market and retail property market for ten years.  Prior to that, Why Media formed part of a Hong Kong design and marketing agency which has given the company strong core values, an exceptional eye for detail and the drive to think commercially at all times.

As a Marketing Manager you will be responsible for a host of clients, many of whom working in different parts of the UK, servicing different demographics, This means that the highest level of organisation and personal structure is imperative. 

As the job title states, you will be at management level and therefore there will be an expectation to deliver ideas, detailed and thought out reports, standard setting communication and commercial thinking at all times.

  • Creating and delivering marketing strategies (encompassing online and offline) 
  • Setting and delivering ambitious KPIS 
  • Creating engaging online content for every social media platform
  • Annual and seasonal strategies
  • Good understanding of SEO
  • Creating analytical reports 
  • Facebook Insights, Instagram Insights, Twitter Insights and MailChimp
  • A strong understanding of GDPR
  • Attending and managing on-site events 
  • Creating and distributing press releases
  • Building press relationships 
  • Setting out creative briefs
  • Database management and growth 
  • Creating and leading presentations to clients
  • Leading regular video calls and conference calls with clients 
  • Identifying new forward-thinking initiatives
  • Keeping an eye on award opportunities
  • Brand management 
  • Creating video storyboards and liaising with video team
  • Keeping on top of trends
  • Creating and running competitions 
  • Understanding and managing budgets 
  • Identifying commercial opportunities for Why Media
  • Representing Why Media at networking and industry events 
  • Understanding target demographics and how to engage with them online 
  • Proofreading 
  • Dealing with client queries and resolving them 
  • Overseeing project delivery and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standard 

 

As a Marketing Manager, you will work closely with and report to the Marketing Director who will help you deliver your goals and help you to progress your position. However, although they will be on hand to support you, this role will suit somebody who is able to use their own initiative, research and solve problems independently.

Interview Process

Why Media were delighted to launch the new brand identity and website for ACAI Group, a property investment company with a number of high profile commercial, retail and land assets across the UK.

These assets include 8-10 Grafton Street in Mayfair, The Heart Shopping Centre in Walton-on-Thames Surrey and, the flagship store for high-end retail brand Dior on the prestigious Bond Street. The objective of the branding and creative element of this project was to inject colour, depth and a story behind the brand identity and overall messaging of ACAI (the initials of which represent the three owners of the company). Following completion of the branding process, Why Media delivered a full stationery package including business cards, letterheads and compliment slips and a comprehensive set of brand guidelines, ensuring the brand identity and reputation are protected through a stringent set of ‘brand rules’.
