Why Media has opened up an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Assistant to join their UK team.

Position: Marketing Assistant 
Start Date: September 2021
Location: Hertford, SG14 1HH
Working Hours: Monday-Friday
Salary: £18,000-£20,000 
Benefits: 20 days annual leave (increases to 25 after 12 months), progression opportunities, business mileage 
Driving License: Preferred but not essential

Why Media has opened up an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Assistant to join their UK team.

As a fast-paced Creative and Marketing Agency, Why Media is seeking a confident and extroverted individual who is hungry to learn about marketing, technology and business. 

Working directly with the Design & Marketing Director, this role will suit somebody who has recently finished education and is now looking to get some real-life experience within the design, marketing and technology sectors within a small, close-knit team.

More About The Role

As a Marketing Assistant, you will work closely with the Design & Marketing Director as well as our creative and technical teams to support a wide variety of daily duties and project tasks. 

This role will offer variety and will give you a real insight into what it’s like to work within a fast-paced creative agency. 

This role will only suit individuals who have the highest standard of organisation and structure and the ability to multitask. 

Having a good understanding of social media is vital as this role will see you supporting the creation of content and understanding what engages different audiences for both Why Media and some of our clients. 

Although you will be working within a small team, it is important that you are able to work as part of a team but also be self-managed. You should never feel uncomfortable asking for support from colleagues but you should also be able to identify solutions to problems independently.

Your base will be our office in Hertford, Hertfordshire however, you may sometimes have the opportunity to work from our office in Central London and even take part in a visit to one of our European offices in Spain and Italy.

An Overview of the Role’s Responsibilities 

  • Social media management 
  • Office duties - answering the phone, managing diaries, taking meeting notes etc. 
  • Filing and paperwork
  • Database and data management 
  • Keeping up to date with trends, new initiatives and industry media
  • Writing news stories
  • Data analysis 
  • Market research 
  • Proofreading documents and artwork ahead of client submission
  • Identifying opportunities to build exposure for Why Media
  • Understanding and adhering to company processes
  • Analysing data through analytics and putting together monthly, quarterly and annual reports 
  • Identifying new initiatives
