Salary: £20,000- £25,000 +Commission (OTE £50.000)

As a fast-paced Marketing and Creative Agency, we are seeking a results-focused, passionate and enthusiastic Sales Manager who is looking to increase their income, put their stamp on the agency’s client base and deliver high-end, sophisticated presentations. 

Working with our Managing Director and European Sales Manager, this role will suit somebody who has previous experience working within a fast-paced sales environment and who is now looking for new challenges and the opportunity to stretch their professional boundaries.

More About The Role

As a Sales Manager you will work closely with our Managing Director to identify, approach and close new business with some of the UK’s leading companies. 

This role comes with a certain amount of autonomy and responsibility and the ability to be well organised, structured, confident and, practice excellent communication is essential. 

This role will only suit individuals who have the highest level of communication skills and, those who are passionate about selling creative services. 

Why Media has a very clear list of companies in which they would love to work with, many of whom are high net-worth individuals and established companies. Therefore, it is imperative that you are mature and professional in your sales approach. Having an understanding of international cultures and etiquette is preferred.

Although previous experience delivering commercial goals within a marketing agency isn’t essential, a basic understanding of website development, graphic design and marketing would most certainly help support the company’s, and your commercial goals. 

This role offers excitement and freedom to come up with new ideas that will put Why Media at the forefront of our desired client list - it’s not all about cold calls these days! 

This exciting role will give you the opportunity to develop longstanding relationships, enhance your communication skills and, increase your income with our uncapped commission structure. There is also scope for progression, with the opportunity to bring in your own assistant and team to support the delivery of new business. 

Although you will be working within a small team, it is important that you are able to work as part of a team but also be self-managed. You should never feel uncomfortable asking for support from colleagues but you should also be able to identify solutions to problems independently.

Your base will be our office in Hertford, Hertfordshire however, you may sometimes have the opportunity to work from our office in Central London and even take part in a visit to one of our European offices in Spain and Italy.

An Overview of the Role’s Responsibilities 

  • New client identification 
  • Database management
  • Attending networking events and industry events (online and offline) 
  • Arranging and attending meetings
  • Presenting and pitching (online and offline) 
  • Creating proposal documents and budgets
  • Creating pitch presentations and tender documents (alongside marketing & creative teams) 
  • Understanding client budgets and the company’s pricing structure 
  • Identifying sponsorship and other commercial opportunities 
  • Delivering weekly/monthly/annual sales targets 
  • Distributing brochures and direct mail initiatives 
  • Raising the profile of Why Media in the UK 
  • Working alongside our European Sale Manager to deliver consistent messaging 
  • Working alongside marketing and creative to ensure they are supporting the sales model
